This was the first entry in my nature journal.
A few years ago, I had a desire to start a journal after a friend had given me a blank one. I did, but very quickly found out that I didn't know what to write about and so I stopped. Shortly after that, I found a book at the library that did inspire me to journal again. It was, The Country Diary of An Edwardian Lady. Later I also found, The Nature Notes of An Edwardian Lady. After looking through these books, I was inspired to go ahead and start a nature journal. That is something I can always write about and add drawings to. In her books, she would draw what she had seen that day, add a poem or scripture and maybe a few of her own words. I took the basic idea of that and began writing and drawing. I have to admit though, I've slacked quite a bit these past two years. I am hoping to be re-inspired to begin again. I am posting a few of my entries, mostly of Spring time. Have a Jolly day!

Beautiful pictures !! I wish I could draw !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog :)
Very nice...nice to meet you and thank you for stopping by my blog today. Now following yours.
ReplyDeleteI'm so completely jealous of you. You have some extremely beautiful, natural feeling graphic abilities. I can't draw a straight line using a ruler! ;-) I'm stopping by from the A to Z challenge and I look forward to reading/viewing more from you.
ReplyDeleteOh Heather I love it! Your drawings say so much, even without words. The feelings of the day show through in what you draw. I journal, then stop, then journal, but it is always so fragmented. I think adding drawings would inspire me to write my true feelings at that moment. Thanks for sharing.
