Climbed aboard the dream weaver train
Driver take away my worries of today
And leave tomorrow behind
Dream weaver, I believe you can get me through the night
Dream weaver, I believe we can reach the morning light
A dream I had a couple of weeks ago, floating highway. |
I am definitely a dreamer. Not only a daydreamer, a person who has many goals/dreams, but I have very active night dreams. I always have. I still remember a lot of my dreams from my youth. Many were scary, some were silly and some were very serious. One that has always stuck in my mind from when I was about 12, it's mostly the image, I was rollerskating with a friend through our neighborhood, everything was black and white except for our large headphones and wheels on our skates, they were a bright yellow. Our neighborhood was completely destroyed, like we'd had a war and I kept having to watch the sidewalk so I wouldn't trip over the large chunks of cement. The images are still very vivid.

I dream often and vividly. Unfortunately, it often wakes me and contributes to insomnia. And sometimes they are so real I'm convinced they happened, even though it isn't possible. Strange and unsettling.
ReplyDeleteI dream in color and I can actually change my dreams while dreaming if I need to. Or 'step' outside of myself in the dream and watch what I'm doing.

Lately I seem to be having some really, and I mean REALLY weird dreams. Trouble is I can't remember much about them when I wake up.
ReplyDeleteMy earliest dream recollection was when I was about 4 or 5, and I was standing on the platform with my Mum and Dad. They got on the train, an old steam train back in those days, and the door must have closed with me still standing there.
I began to panic as the train started to move, and a railway official came up to me and told me it was too late to catch the train, I had to die.
Then I woke up! I think that was my first nightmare.
I am a dreamer, but sometimes I wish I wasn't. Good dreams can easily turn into nightmares, and images stay with me forever. Recurring dreams drive me crazy, because I come know closer to understanding them, and they grow progressively stranger each time a I dream them. I wish I found peace in dreams.
ReplyDeleteI am a dreamer. I rarely if ever have nightmares. My dreams are so vivid and seemingly so real that at times I wake up exhausted. I don't have repetitive dreams that I know of. Good post and loved the opening verses.

I definitely am! My husband loves to hear about my dreams.... he says they're like movie scripts. LOL. Cheap entertainment, I guess!

Like all the other commenters so far, I also dream often and vividly. In color and realistic. And I often dream in ongoing themes. Unfortunately one theme is natural disasters...those are frightening. I also dream of houses...and have on a couple of occasions actually located the real life house that corresponds to a dream. Let me tell you, that is a totally freaky experience.
ReplyDeleteThis was a cool post. Your artwork is beautiful.

Beautiful post Heather...and yes I am definitely a dreamer and a dreamer of dreams.
ReplyDeleteI dreamt that my guy and I went to Bucharest, last night. It was kind of nice...even though they went in for some strange pottery.
