Life, As We Know It

A bit of my life and daily adventures, through pictures and sketches.
What have you been up to?

This is a new picture I have added to my Etsy shop.
The Flower Girl

I went for a walk to the cemetery, this is a cool gate.  I just finished reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, good and interesting story.

storm clouds

I call these Alice Trees, I don't actually know what they are, but I do believe they are magical.

Our wee little garden and the lovely fence, the boys built it using scraps of wood they found in the garage.  I love recycling.  :)

An amazing meal I made the other night.  I have been trying to experiment with new foods.  I am super picky, so it's not always easy.  I am seriously thinking I need to write a blog called, The Picky Eater's Guide To Yummy.  I've been coming across some really great recipes.  These are chicken puff pastries....oh my!!

More clouds, I can't resist.

and more....do you blame me??

clouds and mountains...

last one of clouds, I think...

Been sketching a lot lately...trying out different things.

poor attempt at watercolor, heh!

A Beatrix bunny.

A very sketchy raccoon.

another building, these are fun.

And a tiger that is not very symmetrical.  :)

One last photo,  The Crow.

Have a groovy weekend everybody!!  Hope the weather is glorious where ever you are and you can go for a spin on your bicycle.  :)

Clouds and cemetaries are some of my favorite things! You can never put too many photos of those on here :)
Can't wait to see that little garden plot brimming with happy little plants!

  3. Heather, the flower girl is so, so beautiful!
I don't blame you for the clouds but you have to admit, the pictures you took are quite artistic.
And the tiger is my kind of tiger, the smiling tiger :)
    Overall, lovely post (how else?)

  4. OMWord! I LOVE the last photo of the Crow. I'm a mega cemetery chick. I have folder after folder of my photos just for that. I love finding them across the states and taking great pics.

  5. I love dramatic cloudscapes! Your sketches are great - I have a fondness for architecture - and I started drooling over those chicken pastries. What did you put inside them, other that chicken?

All your art looks great too and I especially fell for the friendly tiger. He's really smiling at me.
