A friend of mine recently commissioned me to create some Baby Shower invitations. She's always been a huge fan of my little square owls, so we decided they'd be perfect for the job. I finished them up and sent them on their way today. I have to say, it was a fun little project and I learned a few things along the way. I am thinking I need to do more of these projects. :)
ready to go.
I also finally purchased myself a nice drawing pen. I've had a chance to play with it a bit, the lines are much smoother and the ink cooperates a bit better than the other pens I've used. Now I need to go back and buy more, in various sizes. FUN!!!
playing with more doodles and zentangles.
I finally finished Jane Austen, she's now hanging in my house, along with Poe and Agatha Christie. Still have some more to finish.

I was invited to participate in a 1 photo a day for 365 days, project.
I have to say, as much as I enjoy taking photos, it is hard to do it every single day and feel creative with it. These are a few pics I've taken so far.

That's all for now! Have a Happy and Beautiful Valentines Day!

You've been so busy! LOVE your invitations, they made me giggle, SO cute! The pen seems to be working great but it's probably the artist ;) AND your boys are adorable. I have two boys not as old as your but they are amazing and fun the older they get!! Awesome photos too. Thanks for sharing xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe invitations are great, what a nice project. The drawings are amazing as always and the photos too. I love the one with the leaves, what beautiful color.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day my friend ;o) I love your art soooooooooooooooooooooooo much!! You are so creative!! I love every piece you do!! And, your photos so far are fantastic!! I truly mean that! You have a way of capturing things!! Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteAwe, those cute boys!! I LOVE those pictures - love the blue bird - and your invitations are so cute! I'm a fan of the square owl too - and your girl! And in pen! wow . . . xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm a fan of the square baby owl. Very nice invitations. And best of luck with your photo-a-day project; my wife tried that a few years ago and had trouble finding new subject matter, especially late in the year on days trapped inside by the cold. But I think you'll come through just fine.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute invites! Those turned out adorably :)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of pen did you buy? I'm always wondering what other artists are using. I've tried a few different kinds, but haven't found "The One"....haha!
Love to see you keeping creative, Dear Heather!
Hugs,
